ATCO Structures
ATCO, a global corporation employing over 19,000 people and managing $25 billion in assets, delivers essential services across Utilities, Energy, Structures, and Operational Support. This project focused on their Structures division—a global leader in modular shelter solutions, known for workforce housing and relocatable modular buildings used in remote, industrial, and resource-based operations.
ATCO engaged us to create marketing visuals that highlight their upgraded modular office and housing units—commonly recognized by their distinctive yellow stripe. These units are far from basic job trailers. Designed for comfort and flexibility, they feature configurable interiors and optional furniture packages.
Our work combined architectural and industrial photography, along with video content, to support ATCO’s growing visibility in the U.S. market. In addition to photographing interiors and exteriors, we incorporated employee headshots and video coverage while maintaining a cohesive visual style throughout.
Challenges
The project involved a two-day shoot at four separate sites: Aurora, Blackhawk, Red Rocks, and Colorado Springs. We were tasked with capturing consistent, high-quality visuals across varied lighting conditions and facility layouts.
A unique logistical challenge was that the ATCO team had only two sets of furniture to stage four different trailers. As we photographed one unit, the team was already preparing the next—an impressive display of efficiency and coordination that kept the project moving smoothly.
Solutions
We approached the assignment with a detailed pre-shoot plan to manage multi-site logistics and coordinate key scenes. Interior photography focused on capturing the comfort and quality of these spaces, highlighting configurable layouts and furniture add-ons that enhance usability.
Video clips were captured alongside photography to maintain a consistent visual style. We also set up a dedicated headshot station, allowing professional portraits to be produced efficiently on-site without disrupting the primary photography workflow.
Outcome
The final images and video assets are now in use across ATCO’s website, social media, and broader marketing campaigns—bringing attention to their modular building offerings throughout the United States.
Since completing the project, we’ve begun spotting ATCO trailers in the field more frequently—a subtle indicator of the strong brand recognition they’re building, one yellow stripe at a time.
