High Plains Elementary School
RB+B Architects commissioned our team to photograph their addition to High Plains P-8 School in Loveland, Colorado. This project highlights the firm’s expertise in educational facility design and their ability to create spaces that enhance the learning environment.
The photography was commissioned to support RB+B Architects’ portfolio and future pursuits, with a focus on documenting the new spaces, highlighting key design features, and demonstrating how the addition integrates with the existing school structure.
Challenges
The active school environment presented significant logistical challenges. With classes in session, we needed to work around daily school routines including morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up periods.
A critical consideration was balancing the need to show the spaces in use while strictly adhering to student privacy policies and school regulations.
Solutions
We developed a strategic approach that aligned with the school’s daily rhythm. By identifying optimal times during passing periods and in common areas, we captured spontaneous moments of students interacting naturally with the new spaces.
This careful timing allowed us to illustrate the building’s intended use while respecting privacy requirements and minimizing disruption to school activities.
Outcome
The RB+B Architects team responded enthusiastically to the final imagery, noting how effectively the photographs captured both the design intent and student interaction within the new addition.
